You can apply for an apartment if you study in Kuopio. You can send your application after your studying place has been confirmed.
When you deliver your termination of contract by email, we will reply to you with a confirmation. If you deliver the termination by mail or bring it to our mailbox, we won’t confirm it seperately.

Contact Kuopas if you permanently lose the key to your apartment. The locks need to be re-keyed for the sake of security. Re-keying costs are about 350-400 € which will be charged. Pets are always welcome in studios and family apartments. However, if you want to have a pet in a shared apartment, you need to have everyone’s permission before moving in. If a new roommate doesn’t want to live with your pet, you need to find a new home for the pet.
There are no dishes or bedlinen in Kuopas apartments.
If you got a proposal for an apartment and it’s not exactly like the ones you applied for (for example it is in different area or you have applied for a studio but got a room in a shared apartment) it means that we don’t have any free apartments that match your application.
Unfortunally, during the Summer and the Fall we can’t change the apartment and you will get only one apartment offer.
During Summer and Fall, usually no. We will only offer you one apartment. If you decide not to accept the offered apartment, Kuopas is not able to offer you another one. If you don’t want to take the apartment we have offered, don’t pay the deposit and your reservation will automatically be cancelled, and you will not have any agreement or accommodation with Kuopas.
You can leave an application to another student residence immediately when the first contract has began.
The key has to be picked up from Kuopas office during office hours (Mon-Fri 12:00-15:00, the first working day of the month 8:00-15:30).
If you are not able to come to pick up the key on your own, you can ask your tutor student, friend or someone in your educational institution to pick up the key for you. Please inform Kuopas in advance by e-mail who is going to take your key. If you can’t get anyone to pick up the key, you need to call our 24/7 maintenance service and pay the 70€ euro fee to get the key.
Please contact the internet connection provider, DNA: https://corporate.dna.fi/contact-us. Tell them that you moved in to Kuopas’ apartment and that you want to enable the free Internet connection.
Kuopas normally pays the same amount back than we have received, but the bank may charge some costs for foreign transaction. The charges are tenant’s responsibility to pay. That’s why the amount you receive may be less than the one you have transferred to Kuopas.
Another reason for the reduction can be cleaning costs. Please contact our customer service if you don’t know why you didn’t get your deposit back in full.
