This update highlights family apartments and shared apartments that are available now or becoming available soon.

Family apartments
There are currently several 3-room family apartments available in calm, family-friendly areas.

Shared apartments (available now / soon-to-be available)
A shared apartment is an affordable and social option. You have your own lockable room and share the kitchen/bathroom. In Rauhalahti, furnished options are also available.
Apartments that are available or will become available on 1 March:
- Haapaniemi: 36 rooms (13 for men, 23 for women)
- City center: 7 rooms (1 for men, 6 for women)
- Neulamäki: 48 rooms (18 for men, 30 for women)
- Niirala: 2 rooms (2 for men, 0 for women)
- Puijonlaakso: 6 rooms (5 for men, 1 for women)
- Rauhalahti (furnished): 51 rooms (8 for men, 43 for women)
- Särkiniemi/Särkilahti: 10 rooms (7 for men, 3 for women)
Studios
Apartment allocation and the speed of receiving an offer always follow Varke’s rules: urgency of need, assets, and steady monthly income. Kuopas does not have queue numbers. Studios are offered based on applications as they become available. Please submit an application if you are looking for a studio.
Moving in with a friend?
You can apply for the same shared apartment together with your friend. A shared apartment with a friend means a shared apartment where all rooms are available/becoming available and you apply together.
Each applicant must submit their own application. List your friends’ names and email addresses in the application’s Additional information field (last page). For example, if three people apply for the same apartment, you submit three separate applications, each listing the other two applicants.
Family apartments also work well for this purpose!
