Kampus Ankkuri applications have opened

The application period for Kampus Ankkuri is now open, and apartment offering will start during December.

The new student building will be completed in the Savilahti campus area in February 2026, and moving days will take place on 16 February and 18 February 2026.

Kampus Ankkuri is an L-shaped building that will include 137 new student apartments — 130 studios and 7 two-room apartments. Together with Kampus Masto, it will form a new student housing block right in the heart of Savilahti, next to educational institutions and services.

How to apply for an apartment at Kampus Ankkuri

The application for Kampus Ankkuri is now open. Before submitting your application, we recommend reading Kuopas’ Applying Quick Guide, where you can find instructions for completing the application and important information about the selection criteria.

Applications are submitted on Kuopas’ website according to the guide. Selections are made based on Kuopas’ general selection criteria, and the resident selection process follows Varke’s rules (income, assets and housing need).
Kuopas does not use a queueing system, so the time when the application is submitted does not affect the selection.

Apartment offering will start in December, and apartments are offered fairly based on application information. Any floor or other preferences can be added to the notes section of the application.

If you have already submitted an application earlier and would now like to apply for Kampus Ankkuri, please submit a new application.

Modern living on the Savilahti campus

Kampus Ankkuri is an energy-efficient A-class passive house that utilizes solar energy. The apartments feature modern and practical layouts with a private kitchen and bathroom.

The shared facilities support student life and community. Kampus Ankkuri includes:

a sauna and shared kitchen on the 7th floor
a laundry room
extensive bicycle storage and maintenance areas (no car parking)

Tenants of Kampus Ankkuri may also use the study spaces in Kampus Masto. Likewise, tenants of Kampus Masto may use the shared kitchen and sauna in Kampus Ankkuri.

Rents range from 364 to 545 € (approximately 15 €/m²), and apartment sizes range from 23.5 to 39.5 m².

Water is billed monthly based on the previous month’s consumption.
