Kuopas Apartments Spring and Summer 2025 – Housing Situation and Application Tips

Spring and summer are the busiest seasons in student housing – tenants move out and new applicants arrive. In this update, you’ll find the latest tips and information on how to apply for an apartment, what is currently available, and what to do in various housing situations. We will keep this update current throughout the spring and summer, so it’s worth checking back!

Available and Upcoming Apartments

The apartment search may sometimes show no available apartments, especially for studios. This does not mean there won’t be any available soon!

► You can always submit a general application for studio apartments, even if none are currently shown in the apartment search.

► Remember to make a broad application from the start. Apartments become available regularly and we aim to offer them directly to the next applicant.

How to apply for an apartment:

Submit your application in time here: Apartment search
It’s a good idea to apply even if there are no available apartments right now. We process applications daily.
Update your application regularly to keep it active. It remains valid for 3 months. You’ll receive a reminder email one week before it expires.

Important to note

More apartments tend to become available in spring and summer, but availability may still be limited in July–August.
If you are already living in a Kuopas apartment and planning to move out, remember to give notice of termination in time. The notice period is one full calendar month (e.g. if you give notice in May, the lease ends on 30ᵗʰ June).
You can also apply for an apartment transfer within Kuopas – just submit a regular application and mention that it’s for an internal move.
Make sure your contact details are correct on your application! We use that information to send you apartment offers and contact you if needed.

What if…?

…I don’t see any available apartments in the building I’m interested in?

…I only need an apartment for the summer?

➜ Mention this in your application. We may have suitable temporary options becoming available in May or June.

…I don’t receive an offer right away?

➜ Applications are processed daily. If the apartment you applied for is not available immediately, keep your application active. We will send you an apartment offer if we are able to offer you an apartment.
