Internet, TV and modems

💡 How to get your internet connection working

1. Register at www.dna.fi/kuopas#en.
2. Check your connection type (Ethernet, VDSL2 or cable modem).
3. Furnished apartments include a modem. Unfurnished apartments require you to buy your own modem or router.
4. If your connection doesn’t work, first try resetting the modem. If that doesn’t help, contact DNA fault service: +358 44 144 044 (24 h).

Internet connection

All Kuopas apartments include an internet connection provided by DNA. To use the internet, you must first register as a user of the internet connection. The basic speed is 25 Mbit/s. You can upgrade the speed through DNA – any upgrade costs are charged directly from the tenant. Remember to cancel your free tenant connection or additional speed from DNA when you move out.

The connection type depends on the property (VDSL2, Ethernet, or cable modem). Check your property’s type from the list below.

► Internet connection setup: register on DNA’s website at www.dna.fi/kuopas#en (you can activate the connection here if you have a Finnish bank account with electronic identification).

► Don’t have Finnish bank account with electronic identification? Contact DNA customer service: +358 (0) 44 144 044 or visit the DNA store in Aapeli mall at Kauppakatu 28 (city centre).

Modems

► Furnished rooms and apartments include a modem. If you can’t find it, or if it’s not working or doesn’t support WiFi, you can get a new one from DNA Kauppa at Kauppakatu 28, Kuopio. Bring the old modem with you when exchanging.
Do not borrow a modem from another room, every room has its own modem. Leave the modem or router in the apartment when moving out.

► Unfurnished apartments do not include a modem. You can purchase a modem or router from electronics stores like Gigantti, Power, or DNA Kauppa. Check your property’s connection type to choose the right device.

💡 Internet not working? Try this first:

1. Restart the modem.
Unplug the modem from the power supply, wait for 30 seconds and plug it back in. Wait a few minutes for the modem to restart.

2. If that doesn’t help, reset the modem.
Press and hold the Reset button for approximately 30 seconds. Then let the modem restart on its own.
After resetting, use the WiFi network name and password printed on the back or bottom of the modem. Also check that all cables are connected correctly.

3. Still not working?
Contact DNA fault service: +358 44 144 044 (24 h) (normal call charge) or visit the DNA store in Aapeli mall at Kauppakatu 28.
